I'm noticing having a difficult time getting in all my vegetables, especially greens. I seem to be having arugula salads daily, my pureed green soup, the soup I mentioned on Day 8. It still seems like I need some improvement here. One thing that helps me with this is juicing (I’ve been loving kale, ginger, lemon, beet greens and apple). I need to be careful here as juice can be difficult on blood sugar. When I have it (which I have been about 3 days a week) I make sure to either add some melted coconut oil or drink it with an easy to digest meal (either breakfast or lunch) so it doesn’t spike my blood sugar (even the green juices can have a huge sugar impact).
I’m past the midway point to my original 30 day commitment. I’m also mid-cycle and not experiencing any breast tenderness… YAHOO! I’ll be curious to see how the rest of my cycle fares. My patch of psoriasis (I have scalp psoriasis… it appears at the nape of my neck) has not disappeared. Fatigue wise, can’t quite tell… maybe a subtle shift during the day… by evening still quite tired. At this point, I’m feeling pretty committed to AIP and thinking I will continue on past the 30 day point. I’d really like to give my body a chance to heal and the hardest part is behind be.
Still doing good... chugging along here. This is definitely feeling like my new normal. Not missing anything and really not feeling deprived. Wishing I had more improvements to report. I need to remind myself that I've been living with my health issues for quite some time and that healing is a journey. Sometimes we get lucky and something clears quickly and other symptoms take longer to heal.
